Please share your Halloween candy with a US Serviceman. Your science teacher will collect Halloween Candy for troops on November 1, 2 and 5.

DOOR CONTEST
Attention Homerooms- Do you have what it takes to make the spookiest, silliest or most creative door this fall? McGee will be holding a door decorating contest to see which homeroom can make the best door. Have your door finished by Tuesday 10/30 to be judged! Winners announce on Halloween!

MATH COUNTS

Math Counts next meeting will be TODAY after school until 3:30 in Room 120.

SPIRIT WEAR
Show your school spirit!!!! Order forms are available in your homeroom or in the office. Purchase a McGee t-shirt or sweatshirt and be ready for our next school spirit day!

McGEE 50th
Do you want to be apart of the McGee 50th Anniversary Video? On November 7th and 8th, interviews will be held in the library after the morning announcements. There are sign-up sheets around the school, but sign up quick, only ten spots are open each day!

CURSIVE CLUB
Cursive Club will meet today after school in Room 221 until Late Bus.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography Club will have a special meeting today for those who can attend after school until Late Bus in Room 216.

TUBA ENSEMBLE
Please speak with Mr. Cormack today if you are a tuba, euphonium or baritone horn player and are interested in performing at the New Britain Tuba Christmas on December 15.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
October 29th through November 2nd

BOYS BASKETBALL
Tryouts for boys basketball will be held in the gym from 2:30 – 5:00pm on the following dates:
Monday, Nov. 12 for 6th grade
Wednesday, Nov. 14 for 7th grade
Tuesday, Nov. 13 and Thursday, Nov. 15 for 8th grade

Sign up online and complete both the physical form and the permission slip.

McGEE PTO
Join the McGee Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Membership Drive and earn a free recess for your entire grade! For the next two weeks, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students will compete against one another to see which grade level will have the most parents or guardians join the PTO. PTO supports special events such as McGee's Book Fairs, Dances and the 8th grade trip to Washington DC!

For only $10, your parents or guardians can become members of the McGee PTO! The grade level with the largest increase in memberships between October 15th and November 2nd will earn a free recess period. Keep an eye on your grade level's membership thermometer on display in the cafeteria!

Please wear pink tomorrow in support of Berlin Police K9 officer Aimee Kryzkowski’s battle against breast cancer. Donation is $2 and is payable at the first floor elevator.
